Do I need to be home when food is delivered? No, but a safe drop spot is highly recommended as our hungry city critters might help themselves to your order if left easily accessible and unattended. In the warmer months, a cooler with ice packs is a good idea to keep your produce safe and fresh. Frozen jars are marked with tamper evident seals, and is best to refrigerate as quickly as possible as there are no preservatives added to food.

When does So Delish deliver?We deliver Tuesday evening for midweek delivery orders, and Friday evening or Saturday during the growing season each week, bi-weekly in the winter months.

What ages is food suitable for?Our single ingredient foods was intended for babies starting out with solids, but is enjoyed by humans and pets of all ages! Thickness of foods can be thinned out further as needed. Follow your pediatrician’s guidance for when to start solids for your baby. Why does the food look different from the previous time I received it? We use the same recipe each time and use only locally sourced, organic ingredients, however food does vary in colour and texture in nature and is reflected in processed food.

Is your food prepared in a nut/dairy/egg/gluten free facility? No. Our commercial kitchen processes a wide variety of food. If you have a serious food allergy, please contact us before purchasing.

How is the food packaged? Fresh custom orders and frozen purees are packaged in sterilized mason jars. For delivery, each jar of puree is sealed with tamper evident stickers and jars are delivered in a Rubbermaid bin with non-toxic cold packs.
Our dehydrated products are currently packaged in food grade mylar resealable pouches, but can be packed in glass upon request for a small fee as a greener option.

What size are the jars? Food is packed in 4, 8, or 16oz mason jars.

Are jars safe for microwave? *Yes. But lids are not. Please remove lids before microwaving. Do not microwave jars that have come out of the freezer or contain frozen food as the big temperature change may cause the glass to break.

Can I freeze the jars of fresh food? *Yes. However, it is recommended that you leave enough head space in the jars to reduce the risk of jar breakage. It is also suggested to freeze in only the 4 or 8oz jars as those don’t have ‘shoulders’. Do I keep or dispose of jars and cold packs? To be as close to zero waste as possible, So Delish reuses items as much as possible. Please save empty jars lids and cold packs for pick up at your next delivery. Just rinse out your jars, we will thoroughly clean and sterilize for next time.

How long do dehydrated items last?For the freshest taste and highest nutritional benefit, unopened pouches stored in a cool, dry and dark environment can be stored for a year. Be sure to reseal pouches securely to maintain freshness.
